Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds and let them crackle. Add washed rice and sauté lightly, then pour water and season with salt. Cook on low flame until the grains turn fluffy and aromatic. Serve hot with dal or curry.

1 Cup Paramounte Basmati Rice
2 Cups Water
1–2 tbsp Ghee or Oil
1–1.5 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
1–2 Green Chilies (Optional)
1 Small Bay Leaf (Optional)
Salt to Taste
Fresh Coriander for Garnish (Optional)
Recipe :
Rinse the rice well and optionally soak it for 20–30 minutes.
Heat ghee or oil in a pan over medium flame.
Add cumin seeds (and optional bay leaf, chilies) and let them crackle.
Add drained rice and sauté gently for a minute.
Pour in water and add salt to taste.
Bring it to a boil, then cover and cook on low flame.
Let it cook until the water is absorbed and rice turns fluffy.
Rest covered for 5 minutes after turning off the heat.
